Numerus fixus. In the Netherlands, undergraduate courses with limited places are called "numerus fixus". They must be applied for by 15 January, 23:59, through Studielink, with a maximum of two such applications per year. Some universities of applied sciences accept later applications, but starting from July is risky because student housing sells out.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before you go ahead

How much does this service cost?

The service carries a fee from €1,000, separate from university tuition. The final amount depends on the package you choose, which varies with the number of applications and destinations.

What isn't included in the price?

University application fees, visa and consular fees, English exams such as IELTS or TOEFL, and sworn translation with apostille are not included. These costs are paid directly by the student.

When should I start the application process?

It depends on the destination. For the UK, UCAS applications for 2027 entry open on 1 September 2026. For the Netherlands, numerus fixus courses close on 15 January. The earlier you start, the more destination and housing options you have available.

What's the UCAS deadline for 2027 entry?

UCAS applications open on 1 September 2026. The 15 October 2026, 6pm (UK time) deadline applies to Oxford, Cambridge and most Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science courses. The equal consideration deadline for most other undergraduate courses is 13 January 2027, 6pm. After that, you can still apply until 30 June 2027, and Clearing opens on 2 July 2027.

What is "numerus fixus" in Studielink, in the Netherlands?

It's the term for undergraduate courses with limited places in the Netherlands. Numerus fixus courses must be applied for by 15 January, 23:59, through Studielink, with a maximum of two such applications per year. Courses without numerus fixus have a deadline of 1 May, 23:59.

Do EU students pay international fees in the UK?

Since the 2021/22 academic year, most EU students, including those from Portugal, Spain, France and Italy, pay international fees in the UK and don't have access to UK student loans. There are exceptions, such as Irish citizens or people with settled or pre-settled status who meet the residency requirements, usually three years in the UK before the course. We always recommend confirming your specific situation with the university.

Which destinations do you cover?

We work with destinations in Portugal, Spain, UK, Netherlands, USA, Canada, France and Italy.

Is the first call really free?
